Test Preparation
We offer a comprehensive program of test preparation for standardized examinations.
Specific exams for which we provide test preparation include:
- ACT/SAT
- SAT II subject tests
- AP exams
- GRE/GMAT/LSAT
- SSAT/ISEE
Based on our experience and the significantly superior results obtained, all of our test preparation is built around one-on-one tutoring. Key is that this method allows for one-on-one instruction tailored to each student's individual learning style, needs, and goals. All test prep tutoring is by our dedicated staff of skilled and expert tutors.
Our test preparation program specifically focuses on providing:
- carefully sequenced instruction, review, exercises, and practice tests
- solid mastery of the material being tested
- test-taking tips and techniques
- development of student self-confidence based on familiarity with the exam
Standard hours for test preparation are Monday-Thursday, 3:00pm-8:30pm, and Saturday, 9:00 am-1:00pm. All test preparation is conducted at the Center.
We develop and implement an individual test preparation plan for each student. The first step in enrollment for each student is an initial free consultation with our tutoring staff, during which the student's needs and goals are assessed and addressed. Our experience is that the time required for test preparation varies from student to student. As a rule, we recommend starting well before the planned test. Many of our students come on a consistent basis for longer periods and our fee structure (available on request) is designed to support multiple sessions.
