Tutoring

We develop and implement an individual tutoring plan for each student.  The first step for each student is an initial consultation with our tutoring staff, during which the student's learning style, needs, and goals are assessed and addressed. All tutoring is conducted at the Center.

Registration:
Registration for tutoring is in person in conjunction with the initial consultation.

Hours:
Standard hours for tutoring are:
-Monday-Friday, 9:00am-9:00pm
-Saturday, 9:00am-5:00pm

Tuition:
-initial consultation:  free
-standard rate: $70 an hour
-10% advance purchase discount on registration for 5 or more sessions

Mathematics
-focus on concepts and fundamentals in providing a solid foundation for building math knowledge and skill
-emphasis on guided practical exercises to ensure students fully grasp the concepts and steps involved in performing computations and solving problems
-instruction from elementary to advanced level

             -geometry             -statistics
             -trigonometry        -data analysis

Reading
-focus on learning to read up to grade 3, with emphasis on the 5 Big Skills
-focus on reading to learn for grades 3 and above
-specific approach tailored to student's prior instruction and learning needs

Science
-focus on concepts and fundamentals in providing a solid foundation for building understanding and knowledge of scientific subjects and topics
-emphasis on the scientific method and critical reasoning skills in the development and application of scientific knowledge
-instruction from elementary to advanced level
             -general science         -environmental science
             -biology                      -physics
             -chemistry

Writing
-focus on expository writing and the communication of information and ideas
-emphasis on guided practical exercises to aid students in internalizing an organized, analytical, logical approach to communicating in writing
-grade-appropriate instruction on grammar, syntax, and style

We offer tutoring for all subjects and levels in 4 areas:

Our tutoring programs are based on one-on-one instruction tailored to each student's individual learning style, needs, and goals.  All tutoring is by our dedicated staff of highly qualified and experienced tutors.  We offer:
-expert assistance for students who need help in mastering key subjects and skills
-special programs for students who seek advanced or accelerated instruction
